Kwe sewakwekon, ohnisonhatie? Hello everyone, how are
you? Kwiter ionkiats, Ohkwari niwaki'taroten'
Kahnawakero:non, My name is Peter , I am of the Bear
Clan people of Kahnawake.
This is a photo of my Tota (grandmother) Alice,
standing in front of her home which has our clan's traditional Bear
motiff.
I've played Artist for years ;-) I play the guitar and
Mandolin, I've composed
short musical pieces. I've done 3D computer generated animation and special
effects. I enjoy airbrushing and rubber stamping, when I was a kid I'd help
my Mom bead, Lately I've been a Photoshop gunslinger doing Graphic Arts and
have recently started my own
Apparel/Housewares line called "Urban Skinz"(http://www.urbanskinz.com).
These are just a few of the many wares in my line. Visit my site for a view
of more of my items.
Why Urban Skinz? Well, I'm a Skin ;-) and I live in
the city.....Brooklyn NY to be exact and it's still
loaded with NDN's!
I hope you like my work and aren't
TOO confused by the Kokopelli's ;-) For some reason
even tho I'm Mohawk(actually Kanien'kehaka The People
of the Flint), I've ALWAYS been drawn to the Kokopelli
and Katsina of our cousins in the Southwest. Hope that
tidbit explains things, if not I guess chalk it up to
"Creative License". BTW any of you interested in
learning to speak Kanien'keha checkout my Podcast,
